Art Reception: Remembrance is Our Resurrection: The AltaMed Art Collection January 29 | 6:00–8:00 PM Remembrance is Our Resurrection: The AltaMed Art Collection brings together works by 20 artists whose practices honor the struggles and triumphs of communities fighting injustice, discrimination, and inequality. Spanning 1970–2023 and featuring a wide range of media and styles, the exhibition reflects both anger and hope—memory as an act of resistance and a call to action. Drawn from the AltaMed Art Collection, these works honor legacies of activism, community care, and cultural resilience, echoing the shared histories of AltaMed and the City Club in their commitment to equity and inclusion. Join us for an evening of art, reflection, and collective remembrance that affirms how memory fuels transformation. Reservations are required for all Member events that occur at City Club LA.
